NOTE: Place of birth differs on birth certificate and obituary. William Richard Dennis, 87, of Denton, died, Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Denton Regional Medical Center. Richard was born on December 4, 1924 in St. Jo, Texas to Bryan and Hattie (Cook) Dennis. He married Helen Lucille Woolsey on February 22, 1963 in Dallas, TX. He was retired from Uniroyal Tire Company. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, January 27, 2012 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, TX. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Laurel Land Cemetery, Dallas, TX. He is survived by his wife, Helen Dennis of Denton; daughter, Staci Nathan and her husband Joe of Corinth; son, Terry Barnhill of Denton; sister, Viola Busby of Saint Jo; brother, Syl Dennis of Bridgeport; four grandchildren, Joseph Nathan, Madeline Nathan, Teri Barnhill, Kristi Barnhill; six great-grandchildren, Jimmy, Daisy, Lilliana, Jazmine, Jorge, Jessie; sister-in-law, Helen Dennis of Azle. He was preceded in death by a son, Danny Barnhill; sisters, Claranell Breeze, Alene Corley; brothers, Davis Dennis, Bill Dennis, Rayburn Dennis.
