Teresie Balusek was the daughter of Jan Balusek and Marianna Kudlackova. She was born in Rakova or Zadverice, Moravia, Austria (Czechoslovakia). She was married to Jan "John" Olejnik about 1873. Their first two children were Rosalie "Rosa" and Frank, both born in Austria. The family came to the USA on May 10, 1880 on "The Vessel: S.S. Wesner" from Bremen. Although the first port of call was New York and that is where the passenger lists were surrendered, the ship went on to Galveston, TX where the Olejnik family disembarked. They then traveled from Galveston to Topeka, KS to join John's brother George Olejnik (Findagrave #33688034) and his family. While in Topeka, Jan and Teresie had two more children, Mary and John. They later moved to Bryan, Brazos Co, TX to join their friends, the Stasta family.
