Son of Isaac Smith and Mary Pendleton Obituary Gonzales Inquirer Apr. 28, 1960 R. P. Smith Dies Luling Thursday Funeral services will be held from the Pierce Funeral home in Luling today (Friday) at 2:30 p.m. for R. P. Smith, one time Gonzales resident, who died in Luling Thursday at 2 p.m. Mr. Smith had been critically I'll in that city for sometime. Burial will take place here in Gonzales at tje City cemetery following the Luling rites. The deceased was born on January 2, 1876. Survivors include his wife, Julia Cady Smith; two sons, R. W. Smith of Gonzales, and Edward W. Smith of Marble Falls; and one daughter, Mrs. George Falloure of Luling. Also surviving are six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
