Bio

parents: Valentine Dieter,​ Clara Weise After marrying in Lindsay in 1949, Al and Dorothy began raising a family in Fort Worth, Texas. Steve Bierschenk was born in 1951; by the summer of 1959 the family numbered 7 children, with another on the way. The family moved out of Fort Worth and relocated 30 miles west to the town of Weatherford, where all 14 children spent most or all of their school years. Al worked for many years at Castleberry Lumber Co. on Fort Worth's west side, 5 ½ days a week; Dorothy and all the kids helped run the farm and everyone pitched in with the many household chores.
