MRS. McCRIGHT Rotan - Mrs. W. A. McCright, 84, died at 5 a.m. Sunday in the Callan Hospital following a long illness. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Rotan with the Rev. Albert Cooper, pastor, officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. Fred Thomas, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Rotan. Burial will be in the Rotan Cemetery under direction of Weathersbee Funeral Home. She was born April 17, 1887 in Wise County, the former Iva Lou Cartwright. She married W. A. McCright in Wise County on Jan. 30, 1908. They came to Fisher County from Wise County in 1917, settling in the Royston community. Later, they moved to Rotan. He died in 1956. Mrs. McCright was a member of the Methodist Church and the Rebekah Lodge. Survivors are three sons, Aubrey of Abilene, Jim of Rotan and Charlie of Austin; two daughters, Mrs. Horace Mitchell of Roby and Mrs. Garland Ward of San Angelo; one sister, Mrs. Ira Maley of Decatur; 18 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren. One son, Johnny, died in 1968. Pallbearers will be Foy Mitchell, Frank Mitchell, Dillard Smith, Carlton Burrow, Melvin Clements and Rufus Goodrum.
