Oleta Fay (Morris) Cowan BLUE RIDGE - Graveside services for Oleta Fay Morris Cowan, 82-year-old Blue Ridge resident, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Indian Creek Cemetery in Nobility, Texas with Glenn Murphy officiating. Mrs. Cowan passed away Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012 at Medical Center of McKinney. Graveside Services for Oleta Fay Morris Cowan, 82 year old Blue Ridge resident, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday January 18, 2012 at the Indian Creek Cemetery in the Nobility Community. Brother Glenn Murphy will officiate. Family visitation will be Tuesday January 17, 2011 from 7 until 9 p.m. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Mrs. Cowan was born March 6, 1929 at Floyada, Texas. Her parents were Dave and Stella Gilbreath Morris. She married Andrew Robert “Bud” Cowan December 11, 1948. She was a Dairy Farmer and a member of the Baptist Church. She passed away Sunday January 15, 2012 at the Medical Center of McKinney. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Reggie and Kale Cowan of Blue Ridge; her daughter and son-in-law: Peggy and Rex Love of Blue Ridge; 4 grandchildren: Robert Matthew Cowan, Russell Hopper, Audrey Marie Cowan and William Russell Cowan; her 3 great-grandchildren: Braylee Cowan, Angel Voss and Taylor Voss. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Mrs. Cowan is survived by her son, Reggie Cowan of Blue Ridge; daughter, Peggy Love of Blue Ridge; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Family visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Leonard. Published in The Herald Democrat on January 17, 2012
