Husband of Elizabeth Young Son of John & Anna(Kline) Civil War veteran OBITUARY: Democratic Sentinel, Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, November 27, 1903 After an illness with Bright's disease of the kidneys, of nearly a year's duration, Daniel S. Laubach, of East Third street, a well known and highly respected resident of this town, passed away in death at his late home at about eleven o'clock Saturday evening. The deceased had been suffering quite a long time with this affection, but it was only during the last few weeks that it assumed a serious aspect. he was a native of Benton township and was a little over seventy-two years of age. In 1862 he enlisted in Company A, 178th regiment, serving for a year. For a number of years he has resided in this town, where he had many friends. Mr. Laubach is survived by a wife and seven children- five sons and two daughters-namely: Cassius M.C., of Wapwallopen; Noah Y., of San Francisco, Cal.; Isadore, of Spokane, Washington; Margaret, of Philadelphia and Mrs. A.H. Stewart, of Easton. Funeral services were held last Tuesday morning at St. Gabriel's Church, near Benton, at eleven o'clock, the relatives and friends meeting at the house at eight o'clock. The body was taken to Guava over the B. & S. Railroad. Rev. D.N. Kirkby, of St. Paul's Episcopal Church officiated.
