Husband of Sarah E. OBITUARY: The Argus, Benton, Pennsylvania, Thursday, December 4, 1924 The death of Mr. Alvin Drescher, one of Benton Township's, most respected citizens was a great shock to his family and friends. It occurred at the Bloomsburg Hospital at 8:30 Tuesday evening, where he had been a patient for ten days, and was to undergo an operation if it were possible for him to stand it. He has been in ill health for sometime past. There survives his two children, Ann and Stephen at home, and we doubt if their ever was a more devoted family to one another than the deceased and his two children. There also survives two sisters, Mrs. Frances Beishline, of Stillwater and Mrs. Josephine Beisel, of Hazelton, and one brother, Ex. County Treasurer, G. Bruce Drescher, of Bloomsburg. The deceased was a successful farmer and was born and lived his entire life in this section, an excellent citizen, neighbor and friend. He was a member of the Raven Creek Presbyterian church. He was aged 68 years. The funeral services will be held at his late home at 10 o'clock on Saturday morning and will be continued in the Raven Creek church. Interment will be made in Raven Creek cemetery.
