from: DEATHS IN CENTRAL TEXAS by M. Stearns & MCGREGOR MIRROR John A. Stanley, b. July 11, 1885, d. in Santa Anna CA Tuesday, Feb. 8 at age 43. His body was shipped to McGregor and burial was in McGregor Cemetery by Lee Undertakers. Mr. Stanley lived on a farm west of town for quite a while but left for CA 3 years ago, for his health. He is survived by his wife; mother; a brother, A.A. Stanley of McGregor and 5 sisters. No Marker
