Info taken from his obituary published in the La Crosse Tribune, March 28, 1966 Services for Roy Harley Bakken, 38, who was electrocuted Saturday at Austin, Minnesota, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church. Roy was working on a power pole at Austin, where he had gone early Saturday to help repair damage done by storms last week. He was employed by Vernon Electric Cooperative for 19 years. Roy was born on a farm near Westby, November 23, 1927 to Reuben and Helen (Haahenson) Bakken. In 1947, he married Delores June Martine and together they had two sons, Dennis and Larry Bakken. Delores passed away October 18, 1956 On July 27, 1957, he married Dorothy (Jensen) Dahl. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, his two sons and three step-children; Michael, Joyce and Shirley Dahl.
