Chris Ficklin December 23, 1926 – January 27, 2019 Funeral services for Chris Ficklin, 92, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Friday, February 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church in Onalaska, Texas with Rev. Allen Bramlett officiating. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post #8568. Interment will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 1, 2019. Mr. Ficklin was born December 23, 1926 in Hobart, Louisiana to parents, Christopher Columbus Ficklin Sr. and Lucy Ora (Nixon) Ficklin, and passed away January 27, 2019 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Pat Ficklin; sister, Opal Allen; and brothers, Johnny Ficklin and Oakley Ficklin. During his life, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy and then in the Naval Reserves. Mr. Ficklin was a deacon at First Baptist Church in Onalaska. He was also a member of the Shriners and the Masonic Lodge Chapter #1290 in Galena Park for 63 years. He is survived by his wife, Madelene Ficklin of Livingston; son, Calvin Ficklin of Livingston; son, Tim Ficklin and wife, Joni of Dayton; son, Ben Ficklin of Houston; daughter, Charlotte Stockwell and husband, Randy of Dayton; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers: Chris Ficklin, Timothy Ficklin, Jeff Ficklin, Chris Sallans, Josh Ficklin, Benjamin Ficklin Cochran Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements
