Sister Mary Victor Valek, CDP, 45 of Our Lady of the Lake Convent in San Antonio, died Wednesday. She was born in Ennis, Aug. 8, 1931, to Joe A. and Mary Lanicek Valek. She attended St. John's School, entering the order of the Sisters of Divine Providence in San Antonio in 1949. She is survived by her father, 2 sisters, two brothers, also 30 nieces and nephews and 2 great-nephews. Funeral and burial services will be at Our Lady of the Lake Convent in San Antonio. Rosary will be Friday night at 7:00; Mass of Christian Burial Saturday morning at 9:00. The family requests all memorial be made to the St. John's Building Fund "in Memory of Sister Victor Valek."
