Daniel R. Maler, 81, of Waco, passed away Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, in Waco. Graveside services will be 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the National Cemetery near West, with the Rev. Ed Karasek officiating. A rosary will be recited 6 p.m. Tuesday with visitation to follow until 7:30 p.m. at Aderhold Funeral Home. Daniel was born in West, Texas, to the late Rudolph and Annie (Aimer) Maler. He attended school in Rosenthal, and married Wilma Bradbury in Waco. Daniel retired from the William Cameron Company in Waco after 25 years. He enjoyed gardening, doing yard work, playing dominoes, and tending to his animals. He was preceded in death by his wife, on June 30, 1994; and a sister, Almeda Horton. Survivors include step-sons, Charles Ling, of Bremond, and Lee Ling, of Lorena; sister, Ruddie Tusa, of Waco; nephew, Chuck Horton and wife, Kathleen, of West; and many other relatives and friends.
