BILLIE GAY GOFORTH Graveside services for Naturita, Colo. resident Billie Gay Goforth will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Peel Cemetery in rural Dove Creek. Billie was born on December 13, 1930 in Egnar, Colo. to Gay Newman and Lydia Merial (Hicks) Goforth. He passed away on January 4, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, Colo. at the age of 81. Surviving Billie are his wife, Vera J. (Funk) Goforth of Dove Creek; his children, Donna Ann Lance of Mountain View, Wyo., and Glenn Ray Goforth of Palmer, Alaska.; his stepson, Mike Switich; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Billie was preceded in death by his parents, Gay and Lydia Goforth; and his siblings, Bobby and Alma.
