WEATHERFORD - Bert R. Boggus, a retired Tarrant County deputy sheriff, died Sunday in Weatherford. He was 82. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Laurel Land Funeral Home in Fort Worth is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Boggus was born in Dallas. He also had retired from Jack Cooper Transport Company in Kansas City, Mo.He was a member of United Methodist Church of Weatherford. Survivors: Wife, Leatha Boggus of Weatherford; son, Don Roddy of Houston; three daughters, Bebe Baynham of Shreveport, La., Sherri Butler of Mansfield and Cindy Frost of Arlington; brother, Wayne Boggus of Fort Worth; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
