SANDY--Our loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Delna Brinkerhoff Simons, 69, passed away February 27, 1995, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on July 7, 1925 in Junction, Utah to Heber and Nora Carson Brinkerhoff. She married Edwin R. Simons, Jr. in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on October 18, 1941. Her career was her children. She had a charitable character, and was always doing volunteer work, especially at the nursing home. She was a temple worker, and did a great amount of church work. She loved to sing and was a member of her ward choir. Survived by husband; children; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughters, Cheryl Ann Simons and Maureen Downing. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 2, 1995 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sandy Hillcrest 5th LDS Ward Chapel, 915 E. Peach Blossom Dr. (9100 So.). Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday at the church from 9:45- 10:45 a.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates. Salt Lake Tribune, The ( UT ) Date: February 28, 1995 Edition: Final Page: D4
