ALONZO MILAN BEESON BEESON RITES ARE HELD AT CHURCH OF CHRIST Aged Holyoke Resident Dies At Home After Long Illness Funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon for Alonzo M. Beeson, aged Holyoke resident, who died at his home at 2 o'clock Monday morning following an illness of nine months' duration. Service was held at the Church of Christ at 2 o'clock with N.F. Horn, the pastor, officiating. Interment was made in the Holyoke cemetery. Pallbearers were Rufus Dike, Arthur Thomas, Charles Heinlin, Otto Eichele, Lee Chandler and Cody Young. The late Mr. Beeson suffered a stroke last May. Since that time, his health failed rapidly and complications developed. A few days prior to his death, he developed quinsy. At the time of his death, he was 61 years, six months and one day old. Alonzo Milan Beeson was born July 29, 1877 in Green County, Iowa, the only son of Isaac and Phoebe Beeson. When he was two years old, the family moved to Red Willow County, Nebraska, and located on a farm near Bartley. He was united in marriage to Miss Orissa Cox on December 14, 1889 at McCook, Nebraska. Following their marriage, they resided on a farm near Bartley, Nebraska, until the spring of 1912, when they moved to a farm near Laird in Yuma County, Colorado. Mr. and Mrs. Beeson retired from the farm in 1926, and move into Laird, where they resided until December, 1933, when they moved to Holyoke and established a home. The deceased united with the Christian Church when he lived at Bartley, Nebraska. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Orissa Beeson; five daughters, Mrs. Violet Robinson of Zion, IL, Mrs. Ethel Stewart and Mrs. Rosa Foster of Bartley, NE, Mrs. Opal Chandler and Mrs. Lillie Foster of Holyoke; one son, Lawrence Beeson of Haigler, NE; four sisters, Mrs. Mattie McDowell of Bartley, NE, Miss Ethel Beeson of Minneapolis, MN, Mrs. Elizabeth Rowe of Vona, and Miss Lillie Beeson of Dodge Center, MN; and 22 grandchildren.
