Bio
Funeral services for Clara Hagedorn, age 77, of West Point, were held Tuesday, July 19, 1988, at St. Mary's Catholic church in West Point. The Rev. Gary Ostrander officiated, with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery. She died Sunday, July 17, 1988 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital, following a long illness with cancer. She was born October, 28, 1910, near West Point, to Anton Sr. and Sophie Kaup Kreikemeier. She attended St. Bonaface School at Monterey. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in West Point, Christian Mothers Society and the church guild. She married Casper Hagedorn Sr. on October 12, 1932 at St. Bonaface Church in Monterey. They farmed, moving to West Point in 1963. Survivors are her husband; four sons, William, Irvin and Casper Jr., all of West Point, and James of Denver, CO.; one daughter, Mrs Michael (Marlene) McFarlane of Bancroft; 17 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; two brothers, Otto and Anton J. Kreikemeier Jr., both of West Point; three sisters, Mrs. Theresa Parr of Dodge, Mrs Marie Emanuel of North Bend and Mrs. Paul (Bertha) Steuter of West Point. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and one brother.
