Gordon Ballantyne Peirce, age 78, of Springville, died Wednesday, April 7, 1993 in Provo. He was born August 14, 1914 in Knightsville to Junius Madison and Ann Jane Ballantyne Peirce. He married Louise Bird on July 31, 1937 in Springville. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He is survived by his wife of Springville; two sons and one daughter: Richard and wife Mary Kay Peirce of Orem; Don and wife Donna Peirce of Mapleton; Mrs. Richard (Linda) Smuin of Ogden; one foster daughter, Karen Johnson Davis of Salt Lake City; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters: Evelyn Fry, Naomi McKenzie, Joyce Sayer of Springville; Margaret Dean of Provo. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister, Nettie Williams and Robert Peirce. Burial was April 12, 1993.
