Bio
Michael W. Neu, a 50-year resident of California and a six-year resident of Yucca Valley, died Feb. 6, 2005. He was 91 years old. Born in Texas on Nov. 21, 1913, he was the son of Joseph Frank Neu and Elizabeth Rienert Neu. Mr. Neu served in the United States Navy during World War II. He became a bus driver with Mariposa County before he retired. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and St. Mary of the Valley Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Edna Blanche Neu of Yucca Valley, sons Ronald Neu of Borrego Springs and Michael Neu of Glendora, stepson Joseph Stafford of Moraga, stepdaughters Jo Ann Travella of Gilroy and Lorraine Peruch of Yucca Valley, granddaughter Yvonne Neu Case, grandsons Doug, Perry, Michael and Steven Neu, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-granddaughters. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Feb. 15 at St. Mary of the Valley Catholic Church in Yucca Valley.
