Christy Lucille Whitman Ashton, 95, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2011 in Lehi, Utah, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 1, 1916 in Lehi, Utah, the daughter of George Henry and Lucy Fox Whitman. Lucille married her high school sweetheart Douglas Marvin Ashton on April 17, 1936, they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on March 3, 1938. She served in many capacities in the LDS church, right up till the very end of her life. She loved to play the organ, she was loved by many and she knew all of her grandchildren. Survived by her five daughters; Norma Lynn (Neldon) Vance, Kaysville, Marva (Mike) Gray, Lehi, Luann (Mark Duane) Sorenson, Lehi, Lorraine (Stephen) Trane, Lindon, Louise (Gary) Cannon, Clinton, 34 grandchildren, 137 great-grandchildren, 57 great great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, four sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Jordan Willows Stake Center, 2300 West 300 South, Lehi. Family and friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main, Lehi, and Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. till time of service at the church. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery.
