Gordon E. Hale 1940-2000 Service for Gordon E. Hale, 59, of Gilmer was to be Saturday, March 25, at 2 p.m. at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer. The Revs. Paul Knight and C.E. Cole were to preside. Burial was to follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer. Hale died March 22, 2000, in Tyler. Born August 22, 1940, in Gilmer, Hale married Frances Fields on July 12, 1958, in Durant, Okla. He was retired from agriculture sales. Survivors include his wife, Frances Hale of Gilmer; three sons, Eddie Hale of Alvord, Curtis Hale of Cartersville, Ga. and Michael Hale of Hillsboro; a daughter, Lynette Cole of Alvord; a brother, Barry Hale of Longview; and 10 grandchildren.
