Emil Janko, 86, of Oklahoma City, OK, peacefully passed away, surrounded by his loved ones, on December 23, 2011. He was born in Moore, Oklahoma, on March 28, 1925 to Frank and Anna Janko. Emil was a volunteer Moore firefighter, a founding member of the Moore Masonic Lodge and a Civil Defense Director for Moore. Emil owned the Moore Glass Company for over 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Mable Janko; one daughter, Marcia Myers and husband Wayne; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Roseann Bewley; a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends. He was preceded by a sister, Shirley J. McMahill; three brothers, Joe Janko, Jimmy Janko, Frankie Janko; his parents, Frank and Anna Janko. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on December 26, 2011 at the First Christian Church of Moore, 629 NW 12th St., Moore, OK. Interment will follow at the Czech Cemetery, Oklahoma City, OK. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, OK. Published in The Oklahoman on December 25, 2011.
