AQUILLA - After a long illness, Nicky Lyne York, age 62, of Aquilla, passed away Sunday afternoon, Aug 28, 2011, at the Whitney Medical Center in Whitney. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Sept 10 at 2 pm at the First United Methodist Church in West. He had been a resident of this area for the past 30 years. He was a horticulturist and lover of flowers and plants, and in the past had been a partner in a landscape nursery. Nicky is survived by his mother - Jaunice York of West; his sister - Lari Niles and husband Tom of West, his partner - Tommy Hoover of Aquilla; a nephew - Steven Stoermer and wife Sandy of West; a niece - Stacy Bartosh of Grandview; three great-nephews - Dylan and Daylon Bartosh and Stevie Stoermer; one great-niece - Lynlee Bartosh; two aunts - Billie Johnson and Dorothy Jones, both of Tyler.
