Corene was the daughter of Oscar and Fronie Pierce Brooks. Her parents are buried in Brushy Creek (Pisgah) Cemetery. Corene was a clerk in a drug store. She shares a stone with her husband, Erwin B. Russell. She was residing in Channelview, TX at the time of her death in Houston.
