DOLAND - Donna Jean Felderman, 82, of Doland, SD, died Thursday, December 15, 2011, at her home, surrounded by her family. Donna was cremated and her memorial service will be Monday, December 19, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the former Catholic Church in Doland. Reverend Peter M. Utecht will officiate. Burial of ashes will be at a later date. Donna was born June 28, 1929, in Doland to Raymond and Emily (Board) Baggesgard. She married Merle Felderman on June 26, 1949. They lived and raised their family on their farm south of Doland. Donna was active in 4-H, VFW Auxiliary, Ladies Aid and Snow Queen Festival. Donna and Merle spent a lot of time attending sporting events, cheering their children and grandchildren on. She was so proud. Donna enjoyed taking her grandchildren on vacations with Barb; she always looked forward to the summers. Donna loved being outdoors and the land; her gardens were beautiful and she spent many hours taking care of her flowers. She also enjoyed making crafts and attending craft shows. In Donna's spare time, she raised chickens, pigs, calves or whatever animal came along. She also was co-owner of the Now and Then Supper Club, where many memoires were made. Donna leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her life, her husband, of 62 years, Merle of Doland; her children: Barbara Felderman, Gary (Ruth) Felderman and Tom (Diane) Felderman, her grandchildren: Chad (Mati) Felderman, Jill (Jon) Melby, Dana (fiancee Chantel Spurgin) Felderman and Eric Felderman; stepgrandchildren: Chris (Teresa) Person and Angela Ritter. She is also survived by four great grandchildren: Noah, Taylor, Hudson and Kynley Ann and five stepgreat-grandchildren: Abbey, Chloe, Hayden, Zoe and Lucas. Also, her sister Lorraine (Wes) Jarman, two brothers-in-law: John and Robert Felderman and many nieces and nephews and other family and friends. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, brothers-in-law Wilbur and Everett Felderman and two sisters-in-law Lucille and Sara Ann Felderman.
