Frances Sargent Selph Kulhanek, 85, of Bridgeport, formerly of Megargal, Texas passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011, in Decatur, Texas. Funeral services are at 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at the First Baptist Church of Bridgeport, with burial at 1:30 PM in Restland Cemetery in Olney, Texas. Dr. David Burrows will officiate. Visitation is from 6:00 -8:00 PM Monday, December 12, 2011, at the funeral home. Frances was born October 19, 1926 near Electra, Texas to Millie (Grooms) and Roscoe Sargent. She graduated from Valley View High School in 1943. She married Billy V. Selph on May 2, 1947 in Kamay, Texas. They were blessed with three children: Jonathan, Steve, and Linda. Billy preceded her in death on January 16, 1980. Frances then married George A. Kulhanek of Megargal on October 25, 1986. He passed away December 16, 2006. Frances was a homemaker. She joined the First Baptist Church of Bridgeport after she moved to Bridgeport in March 2007 to be close to her daughter and her daughter's family. Frances is survived by her daughter Linda Clarke and her husband Pat of Bridgeport; grandchildren Michael Clarke, Kelly Clarke Thomas, and Mike Thomas; great-grandchildren Hunter and Michaela Clarke, Alex, Hayley, and Mason McAnear, and Makinzee, Christina, and Breanna Thomas; five stepchildren, eighteen grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, two sons Jonathan and Stephen Selph, granddaughter Lisa Clarke, stepson Randy Kulhanek, and two brothers Weldon (Heavy) Sargent and Alvin Sargent and his wife Belle. Note Texas Birth Certificate gives father as Roscoe Lee Sargent. Father's Death Certificate signed by mother Mrs. Mellie Sargent. Mother's death certificate gives her names as Mellie Romilda Groom Sargent
