Bio

Lura M. McConnell, of Rochester, formerly of Breckenridge, died on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Taylorville Care Center. Lura was born on August 3, 1922, in Green County, IN, the daughter of W.E. and Katherine Jarrell. She married Lewis McConnell and he preceded her in death in 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and two sisters. She is survived by five sons: Lewis (Patti) McConnell Jr. of Rochester, Ralph (Dorothy) McConnell of Blue Mount, Walter (Sharon) Lynn of Decatur, Larry Lynn of AZ and Andrew Lynn of Stonington; four stepsons: Vern, Gerald, Richard and Norman; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon on Sunday, October 23, 2011 until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Wilson Park Funeral Home, 109 E. Washington St., Edinburg, IL with Reverend Rob Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Edinburg Cemetery. Wilson Park Funeral Home, Edinburg, IL is in charge of arrangements.
