WINFRED CURTIS JOHNSON 1926 - 2005 Winfred Curtis Johnson, 78 of McDavid, FL, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 1, 2005. Winfred was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and was retired from NAS Pensacola as a Tool Maker Instructor for the U.S. Civil Service. He had resided in McDavid for the past 11 years and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Winfred loved the water and enjoyed fishing and camping. He is preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Marsha Lugg. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Julia Johnson; a son, Curtis Johnson of York, PA; three daughters, Renee Bain of Middletown, VA, Zilpah Sammarco of Cantonment, FL and Zieda Houston of Seminole, AL; two stepdaughters, Judith Helton of McDavid, FL and Donna Mack of Pompano Beach, FL; and a sister, Kathyleen Dodd of Durham, NC. Winfred also leaves 16 grandchildren, 21 Pensacola News Journal 3/4/2005
