Bio
Mary Virginia "Ginny" Peltier, of Port Aransas, died Sunday, May 2, 2010. Peltier was born on Jan. 29, 1930, in Wharton, to Read Raymond Ramsower and Lavine Lillie Ramsower. Peltier attended Wharton County Junior College and later worked as a realtor in Aransas Pass, Port Aransas and North Padre Island. She enjoyed beachcombing, shell collecting, gardening, birdwatching, reading and playing Sudoku. Peltier was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Willdale Ramsower. She is survived by her brother, Read Raymond Ramsower Jr. of Angleton; sisters, Genelle Speer of Richmond and Lodelle Payne of Houston; son, Bradley (Sandra) Peltier of Corpus Christi; and grandchildren, Lauren Peltier, Hunter Peltier and Jared Peltier, all of Corpus Christi. A memorial service will be held June 6 at 11 a.m. at Beachgate CondoSuites & Motel, 2000 On The Beach Drive. Her ashes will be scattered off the coast of Port Aransas.
