M.L. Jones and Rev. Steve Swofford officiating. Mr. Corley, a former resident of Hunt County, died Thursday morning at his residence. Born in Hunt County on Oct. 15, 1908, he was the son of Sam and Lilly Huffaker Corley. On Aug. 22, 1970, he married LaVelle Fields in Hunt County. Mr. Corley was retired from Crawford-Smith after 19 years as an appliance representative. He served as a deacon of Old Concord Baptist Church for 23 years, and was a member of Rockwall First Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, LaVelle Corley; son, Ronnie Boggs of Mesquite; daughter Clara Jane Corley of Greenville; three grandsons, Jason Allan Boggs, Brandon J. Boggs and Hunter Boggs, all of Mesquite; and one granddaughter, Taylor Thrasher of Mesquite. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and two brothers. Services will be under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
