THE DETROIT NEWS-HERALD, 15 Jan 1953 from microfilm in Clarksville Library: 'Deport -- Funeral services were held Saturday at 3 p.m. at J. M. Grant Funeral Chapel for Wesley Mathius Walker, 64, farmer-merchant of Rt. 3, Deport, who died Friday at 8:30 a.m. at his home. The Rev. J. Embry Bryan conducted the services and burial was made in Highland Cemetery. Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, the former Miss Mollie Parks, whom he married in Deport in 1904 and 7 children. Born Sept 5, 1888, near Deport, Mr. Walker was the son of Douglas and Mollie Hoover Walker. He had lived here all his life. Info.
