NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. Charles D. Lancaster, husband of Janice H. Lancaster, of Heil Drive, entered into rest on Friday, November 11, 2011, at his residence. His funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Curtis Baptist Church with Rev. Sherrill Dunn & Dr. Nevin Alwine officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Memorial Park. Mr. Lancaster was a past Deacon of his church, Curtis Baptist. He has also served as a Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Clerk, with the Visitation & Bus Ministry, and on the Curtis Baptist School Board. Mr. Lancaster was predeceased by his first wife, Sylvia Lancaster. His additional family includes: three sons: Scott Lancaster, Evans, GA; Michael Lancaster, Sr., North Augusta, SC, and Rev. Dean Lancaster (Faith), Flushing, OH; two step-sons: Charles Lollis, Jr. (Natalie), Perry, GA, & David Lollis (Hope), Opelika, AL; two daughters: Rhonda Huff (Kenneth), Dearing GA, Tracy Walsh (Richard), North Augusta, SC; three step-daughters: Janice Nix (David), Aiken, SC, Sandra Sheilds (Keith), Byron, GA, and Catherine Brown (Chris), Franklin, TN, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be James Lancaster, Michael Lancaster, Jr., Mason Walsh, Bowen Walsh, Bruce Chapman, & David Nix. The family will receive friends at the funeral this evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
