Bio

She was born in 1802 in Lawrence Co, PA to Ebenezer James Hogue (1765-1851) and Leah Bennett(1784-1862). She married Jonathan Harlan (1796-aft 1840) abt 1818 in Lawrence Co, PA and they had the following children: Jonathan, Lydia, Benjamin, Leah, Jane, William, David, and Ebenezer. Children: 1. Jonathan 1817-1888 2. Lydia 1822-1885 3. Benjamin abt 1822-1900 4. Leah 1824-1899 5. Jane b 1828 6. William 1829-1889 7. David 1830-1886 8. Ebenezer 1838-1892 Jane married Enoch Dean by 1840 and they had Jane, Enoch Fermin, and Zachariah Taylor. Jane died in Mill Rock (Baldwin), Jackson, Iowa and is buried there. Her children with Enoch Dean were as follows: 1. Jane b 1841 2. Enoch Fermin 1847-1905 3. Zachariah Taylor 1851-1926 Her last name was originally Hoge, but Jane used the spelling Hogue.
