Obit: .SAMUEL McCLELLIN born Smith Co., Tenn.; died near Gallatin, Tenn., Sept. 23, 1853 in his 56th year; md (1) Susan Williams, she died leaving three sons and one daughter; (2) Elizabeth Grindstaff who died leaving 3 daughters; (3) Mrs. Elizabeth Hanckcock; "all three good, religious women." He moved to Ark. on the White River 2 years before he died; on a visit he died 35 miles from his old home; while his body was being taken for burial in his father's graveyard, his son, about 6 months old, also died; both buried beside one another there.
