Rose Marie (Jasa) Liska, the daughter of John and Josephine (Wondra) Jasa, was born in Bee Nebraska on May 24, 1922 and passed away November 23, 2011 in Seward Nebraska at the age of 89 years 5 months and 30 days. Rose attended school at Dwight Public School. Rose married Eugene Liska Sr. on May 14, 1944 in Seward Nebraska. The couple made their home in the Dwight area for over 45 years. Rose was a stay at home mom until her children graduated from school. She then worked at Hughes Brothers Inc. in Seward and later at the North Side cafe in David City. Rose remained very family oriented. She was an avid gardener and flower enthusiast. She loved nature. She enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes. But, most of all, she loved outings with family to Cracker Barrel, Village Inn and The Mill. Really anyplace we went together, she made it special. She made sure the holidays were special for everyone in the family. Her food was always delicious. The house was always decorated beautifully for the season. But mostly her love for all of us made us feel warm and safe. Rose was preceded in death by her husband Eugene, her parents John and Josephine Jasa, her brothers Louis and Emil Jasa. She is survived by her children and their spouses, son Eugene Liska Jr. wife Sherry, Sutton, Carol Jean Miller and husband Ed, Lincoln; son Dan Liska and wife Barb, Seward, daughter Sharon Skoda and husband Steve, Kerrville Texas, daughter Kathy Smaus and husband Jim, Prague; sister Evelyn Richardson, Lincoln; Grandchildren: Amanda Ward husband Carl, Bradley Liska and wife Lisa; Cindy Watters, husband Dewey, Christopher Miller, wife Kimberlie; Sandy Alley, fiance Bob Miers; Karen Ellingson, husband Joe; Adam Skoda, wife Leigh; Sarah Skoda and Juan Hernandez; Joe Smaus and Stephani Ballagh; John Smaus and Laurie Jirovsky; Jake Smaus; Matt Smaus; Great Grandchildren: Kennedy Walthers and Charose, Chaylee, Caitlyn and Benson Ward; Shawn Watters and Shannon Muffley, Josh, Jack and John Watters; Micheal Cloud, David Newman and wife Lindsey; Aliscia, Alexis and Andrew Alley; Danny and Zach Ellingson; Alex, Jocelynn and Paisley Skoda; Cadence and Jakson Smaus; Mireya Hernandez; Great Great Grandchild: Brandy Watters.
