Wife of George Washington Poteet. The Wellington Leader January 26, 1923 Last Monday morning, Mrs. G.W. Poteet of this city passed away. The funeral was held Wednesday morning at the Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. A. B. Davidson. Burial was made in Wellington Cemetery. Mrs. Poteet was the wife of G.W. Poteet. one of the city employees at the court house and a citizen of this county for over twenty years. 5he was the mother of Jack Poteet of Winnewood, Oklahoma, Mvs, J.L. Steel of Oklahoma City, and Mrs. G.F. Anders of this city; two daughters, Mrs. John Glasgow and Mrs. Henry Glasglow having prceded her to the other world. For several years Mrs. Poteet has been confined to her home, but never once complained, and with patience and fortitude bore much suffering. She was a devoted wife and mother and a consistent Christian: loved by all who knew her.
