Services for Loyd Paul Anders, 75, of Acuff will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Idalou with the Rev. Reginald Bridges officiating. Burial will be in city of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of White Funeral Home of Idalou. He died Monday, June, 3, 2002. He was born Feb. 1, 1927, in Darvin, Okla. He attended school in Winnsboro. He married Betty Jean Smith Dec. 31, 1955, in Fort Sumner, N.M. She died Feb. 21, 1992. He married Shirley Ann Arnold June 18, 1994, in Slaton. He worked for Acuff-McClung Gin and was a member of the Texas Ginners Association, the VFW and the American Legion in Slaton. He was a Baptist and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He moved to Acuff from Wilson in 1972.
