Bio

Anita Marie Hrachovy passed away in Pasadena, TX at the age of 79. She was born in Columbus, Tx. March 3, 1929. As a resident of La Porte Texas for many years, she retired from San Jacinto College as a Librarian. Anita was preceded in death by her Husband Sydon Frank "Rocky", Sons Donald G. and Steven, Parents Louis and Annie Prihoda, Brothers Robert Prihoda (infant), Alois Prihoda (infant), Fred Prihoda and Sylvester Prihoda. Survivors included her son Michael Hrachovy and wife Ronnah of La Porte, grandchildren Michael Brandon Hrachovy and Calley Hrachovy, Brother Lebert Prihoda and wife Scholly of Fresno Tx., Sisters Lena Saha of El Maton Tx., Cornelia Vitek of Sealy Tx., Gladys Polasek and husband Larry of La Grange Tx., Sister-in-Law Lillie Prihoda of Freeport Tx. Visitation was held at Paul U. Lee Funeral Home Chapel at 5:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm Monday July 7, 2008 officiated by Father Gary Rickles. In Lieu of Usual Remembrances memorials were requested to be sent to "ROSARY HALL" at St Marys Catholic Church in La Porte, 816 Park Street La Porte, Texas 77571. Services were held Tuesday July 8, 2008 at St Mary Catholic Church in Ellinger, Texas. A Rosary began at 10:30 am followed by Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Interment followed at St Mary Catholic Church Cemetery officiated by Father Eric Pitre. Pallbearers are James Vitek, Bruce Prihoda, Russel Polasek, Mark Prihoda, Marvin Saha, Mario Salgado with Danny Prihoda serving as an Honorary.
