Bio
Martha Elizabeth Baron, age 89, of La Grange, was called to her heavenly father on November 12, 2011 at Monument Hill Nursing Center. Martha was born January 10, 1922, to Joseph and Karolina Vecera Hrncir in the La Grange community. She is survived by her sons Jim Baron and wife, Ramona, of Richardson and Walter Stoever and wife, Sandra, of La Grange; daughter Patricia McDonald and husband, Arthur, of Austin; grandchildren Scott McDonald, Carrie Grove (Bill), Patti Otto (John), Benjamin Baron (Claudia), and Jocelyn Baron; sister Anne Maxwell (George) of La Grange, and brother Elick Hrncir (Florence) of DeSoto; sister-in-law Lorine Hrncir. She is also survived by five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Joseph Hrncir. Martha was employed at the Cottonwood Inn Restaurant for over thirty years and was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Plum. Martha loved animals of any kind and could not bear to see them injured or kept in captivity. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, November 15, 2011 from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and the Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Sts. Peters and Paul Catholic Church in Plum, Texas. Interment will follow at the Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Plum. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fayette County Animal Shelter, Pecan Creek Animal Rescue, or the charity of one's choice.
