Born in Merkovice, Frydek, Mistek, Czechoslovakia. 1880 census Vol 21 E.D. 78 sheet 23, line 41: Wife to Frank, from Moravia, 6 children listed 1900 census: Age 56, became citizen 1866, had lived in US for the past 35 years. She could not read, write or speak english. In 1900 census, she is listed as head of house with a son Karel (Charles) living with her born May 1877, age 23 and daughter Cecilia, born Nov 1883 age 16. Census says she had 9 children born to her and 7 are living as of 1900. Also in 1900, Frank Jurica was not on the census. She was the sister of my great grandfather F. L. Ermis buried in Schulenburg, and F. L. Ermis was the father of my grandfather, Louis Ermis, buried in Corpus Christi, Texas.
