Deseret News, The (Salt Lake City, UT ) - February 20, 1992 Our beloved husband, father, great-grandfather and friend, Wallace A. ''Pat'' Patterson passed away February 18, 1992 in a local hospital of complications incident to age. Born October 16, 1904 in Beaver, Utah to Adam Sharp and Lavern Williams Patterson. Married Luella Carson July 9, 1926 in Junction, Utah; marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a High Priest in the Wilford 1st Ward. Survived by a loving wife and companion of 65 years, two daughters and their spouses, Florine Marie and Alvin J Veazie, Kearns; Norma L. and Wilford ''Bill'' Stay, Thousand Oaks, Calif.; two brothers, Amrose and wife, Rose, Grass Valley, Calif.; Leo and wife, Jean, Orem. Preceded in death by two brothers, James and Ross Patterson; three sisters, Nina Fotheringham Turner, Emma Griffiths and Ruby Barsotti. Through the years he was employed at Silver King Mine in Park City, Utah; a guard at Remington Arms and a welder at Structural Steel for 20 years. After his retirement, he worked for 15 years as a crossing guard for Granite School District. He had a great love for the beauty of the great out-doors and enjoyed the many hunting, fishing and camping trips with his family. All of your family thanks you for making their lives richer and fuller. Your life was one of giving help, understanding and abundance of love. We will miss you dearly. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 22, 1992 at 11 a.m. at the Wilford 1st Ward Chapel, 3180 So. Highland Dr. Viewing will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 So. Redwood Rd. and one hour prior at the ward. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery.
