He married Virginia Dunahoo on 23 September 1865, in Tishomingo, Mississippi, United States. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 6 daughters. He lived in Tishomingo, Tishomingo, Mississippi, United States in 1850 and Tishomingo, Mississippi, United States for about 10 years. He died on 8 January 1926, in Hominy Township, Osage, Oklahoma, United States, at the age of 83, and was buried in Hominy, Osage, Oklahoma, United States.
