Dorothy Norton Hill Dorothy Norton Hill died Friday, July 23, 2010, at her home at The Links in Land's End at Yantis. At her request, there will be no formal services. Dorothy "Dot" Norton Hill was born on Aug. 16, 1927, in the Rockhill community, the daughter of Lemuel C. and Gladys Ruth Gilbreath Morgan. They preceded her in death. She graduated from Yantis High School and East Texas State Teachers College in Commerce. She taught school for 34 years, retiring from Yantis Independent School District. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Yantis. She is survived by two daughters, Paula Diane Webb and husband, Glenn, of Sulphur Springs and Misty Lynn Martin and husband, Ronnie, of the Shirley community; one son, Larry Joe Norton and wife, Sherrie, of Austin; one step-son, H. Neal Norton and wife, Sonya, of Yantis; two sisters, Bobbie Taylor and Mary Harvey; one brother-in-law, Donnie Dunavin; three grandchildren, Amy Lewis, Aaron Lewis and Reagan Norton; four step-grandchildren, Pamela Norton, Kim Cantua, Crystal Scott and Joey Martin; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eudell Neal Norton, who died in 1988; two brothers, Johnny Mack Morgan and Curtis Morgan; and three sisters, Annie Laurie Reeves, Betty Moon and Gladys Overbay.
