Funeral services for Edward W. Driver, who died at his home on Route 4, Canton, Wednesday night were held Friday afternoon at 2 O'clock at the Myrtle Springs Baptist Church. Carroll and Lehr Funeral Home of Athens was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Driver, born January 20, 1877, is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary W. Driver; six daughters, Mrs. Mary A. Crowell, Bastrop county; Mrs. Myrtle Pruitt, Canton; Mrs. Katie Rhodes, Oklahoma; Mrs. Gladys Jennings, Canton; Mrs. Connie Crowell, Canton; and Mrs. Nancy Berry of California; three sons, John L. Driver and Jim Driver of Canton and E.W. Driver Jr., somewhere in New Guinea, and one adopted son, W.L. Weachel of Myrtle Springs. Published in the Athens Review January 13, 1944
