Lex Schumacher was born in Lindsay, NE in 1920 and died in Florence, CO on October 30, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife Agnes and by his parents Henry and Bertha Schumacher; sister Sis Klos and brothers Speed, Doc and Harry Schumacher. He is survived by his sister Rose Ann Albracht; brother Herb Schumacher; daughter Patty Keen and sons Mat and Tim Schumacher. He was a captain in the United States Army during World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart during action in the South Pacific.
