Elmer Golka Dies at Loup City, NE Elmer Golka of Loup City died Monday, March 10, 1986 at this residence in Loup City, Nebraska at the age of 69. Elmer Orien Golka was born July 22, 1916 to Joseph and Tekla Greenwalt Golka on a farm seven miles west of Ord in Valley County, Nebraska. He attended School District 26 and also attended Ord High School. He married Margaret Ruth Elliott at Arcadia on March 2, 1943. Elmer worked for the Valley County Road Department for three years. He was then engaged in farming between Ord and Arcadia until his retirement in 1982. He moved to Loup City and was in failing health for the past two years. Survivors include nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters. Funeral services were held Friday, March 14 at the Loup City Memorial Chapel with the Rev. George Reitz officiating. Music was provided by Florence Landon. Casketbearers were Jerry Nevrivy, John Guthard, Richard Tyma, Marvin Kegley, John R. Miller, Stanley Riskowski, C.D. Cummins, and Adam Zebert. Burial was in the Ord City Cemetery.
