Aged 72 years 10 months Wife of William married 27 Nov. 1859 in Clermont County, OH. Winfield Courier Winfield, Kansas Thursday, May 16, 1901 page 4 The funeral of Mrs. J.H. Metzner occurred Thursday afternoon and she was buried in the Akron cemetery. She and her husband came to Cowley county among the first settlers and have lived in the Akron neighborhood ever since. She was 74 years old. Her son-in-law Thomas Yeaman living near Blackwell came up to attend the funeral. (transcribed by Judy Mayfield) July 2022
