Appears in the 1870, 1880, and 1900 Freestone Co., TX censuses. ------------------------ Fairfield Recorder - Apr. 20, 1888 Mr. Jack Bonner, near Stewards Mill has entered the race for County Clerk, and announces this week. [same issue] Mr. Jack Bonner and Miss Ella Weaver, of our town, made a visit to friends in Palestine last week and returned last Monday. ------------------------------ Fairfield Recorder - Sept. 7, 1888 Mr. Jack Bonner met with a painful accident this week, near Stewards Mill, resulting in getting his right leg broken in the ankle joint causing a wound that will disable him for probably two months. A rope attached to his horse became twisted around his foot, while standing on the ground, and his horse becoming frightened jerked him down and pulled him against a stump, breaking his ankle. Had the rope not slipped from around his foot it might have been much worse. ------------------------------ Jack married Mary Welch on Apr 1, 1894 in Freestone Co., TX. by Rev. W.L. Patterson. ------------------------------ Moved his family from Freestone Co., TX to Coal Co., OK in 1917. ------------------------------ Jack appears in the 1920 Coal Co., OK census (Contributed by EW #46911836)
