He served four years in the Navy with a tour in Vietnam. m- Sandy 12-4-1971 Information from his Cousin Don. EM3, US NAVY VIETNAM Mr. Robert Vasko, age 64, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 in Birmingham, AL. He was a resident of Elberta, AL. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Mildred Vasko and a granddaughter, Michaela Lochrico. Mr. Vasko is survived by his wife, Sandra Harrison Vasko, two daughters, Aimee (Michael) Lochrico, April (Walt) Norton, two grandchildren, Sicily and Roman Lochrico, all of Elberta, AL. Three brothers, Jack Vasko (Betty), Lucedale, MS; Joe Vasko (Pat), New Hebron, MS; Jimmy Vasko (Angie), Foley, AL. Five sisters, Barbara (Sonnie) Kostelecky, Silverhill, AL; JoAnn (Randy) Bridges, Hoover, AL, Carolyn (Fred) Kostelecky, Silverhill, AL; Lillian (David) Dittmann, Fairhope, AL; Mildred Easterling, Euless, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Sunday, November 6, 2011 at 2:00pm from Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home Chapel in Foley, AL. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services time. Burial will be in Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to the organization or charity of your choice .
